2000 ranger no speedometer

Hello I am new to this site. I have a 2000 ford ranger flex fuel, automatic. The speedometer has been acting up lately. I read some other posts on here, and my abs light was also on like other people said. So I changed the speedsensor on the differential. Now the speedometer don't work and it won't shift. I put the old sensor in and it still dont shift. Help Please

Just some thoughts, all this assumes SAME symptoms on both old and new sensor. Debris on sensor..but since both are acting odd then I would think wiring/connections. Some contact cleaner on the rear sensor plug would be where I try first. Next would be to trace the wires back and see if you "jiggled" something loose. Again, contact cleaner for the next plug. Would do some continuity checks to see if there is a break in the wiring.

Let us know what you come up with!

OH YEAH, WELCOME ABOARD!

I think he means "seat properly"! Late posting sometimes has interesting outcomes! I agree, if there were some dirt or something that got in the area causing them to not fit down right it could cause the problem.
