Crankshaft accessory pulley for 223 I-6

The information available so far on this pulley, C1AE 6A312 C, is that it is for Ford cars 1960 to 1964 with 223 engines. Does someone know if it will fit onto 223 engines of other years, car or truck? It is 5.5 in diameter, takes a 9/16 in. crank bolt, 3/8 in. belt and mounting holes are 2 3/8 in. apart at the centers.

I have no experience with this particular setup on 223's, but in the past I have tried to swap around crank drive pulleys on Fords and it is a nightmare. They apparently design each pulley as part of a unique system, so if you swap one pulley you need to use all the other ones in the same "system". All I can say is, good luck! What is it you want to add to the accessories? PS?

I have the pulley listed for sale on ebay. A guy asked about whether or not it could be used on some of the other 223 vehicles. Forget but something like '55 truck. I told him if he could give me some dimensions from his crank damper (dont think the 223 had a damper but what should it be called) we might be able to figure it out, but his engine was in truck and a hassle to examine.

I am pursuing the question to large part out of curiosity, because the it came to mind when the part first arrived. This is the last of the effort though. The same thread is on the I-6 and 61-66 forum, but nada.

Thanks for the response, as it does give insight.

I'd like to know if there is a dual-pulley 223 balancer/dampner. I want to add A/C to it, but don't know if I can do it on the same belt.

Number Dummy came through with the info over on the 61-66 forum, and I included it on the listing, giving him credit. Basically the pulley fit about any ford car or truck from 1957-1964, that was 223 powered. He has it broken down more specifically.

If you need an accessory pulley, there it is, NOS, reasonable (hope a plug is ok).
