1978 F250 Crew Cab weight question

Hello all, just a quick question. Does anyone have a rough guess on the weight of a 78' F250 4x4 crew cab?

Im moving and need to get the vehicle moved over a few states. From the small amount of research I've done it will not work on any of the Penski/uhaul type dow dollies/trailers because of it's weight. I believe it's about 5-6000 lbs. but not sure. My next step is trying to locate a weigh station in town to get it done.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Took mine to the scrap yard a couple of months ago to sell some blocks, with my 325lb a$$ in it, it totaled 5550lbs on the way out. 1979 Crewcab 2wd D60 rear, c6 351m. Now just add the Transfer case weight and front axle weight to get the 4x4. The frame will be a little heavier in the front too.

Thanks for the info, I might just drive it now instead of using a trailer. Never taken it on a long trip (8 hrs for the move) so we'll see how she holds up. Just went through tune up, fluid changes, new rear brakes, steering shaft, etc. so hopefully she'll be happy with that for now.

Drive mine long distances all the time, just gets 10.9 MPG, kinda expensive but it is hard to find a trailer to put it on. I dont think the Uhauls will fit it.

What may be a awesome carrier vehicle from Amarillo Craigslist: 1972 F700 Crew Cab with rollback flat bed. Ad says, "this is a big truck you can haul your crew dually on it"
