Body mounts are tired!!!
Hello all let me start out by saying you FTE guys have never failed me. I have always been able to get answers to my questions off this site. So I just want to thank everyone now.
I have a 1982 f150 supercab lariat 5.8. I am in the process of rebuilding the whole truck. I have already. Took the bed off recoated the frame with POR 15. I have some new wheel arches in the garage just waiting to get the 9 inch rear that I just rebuilt back under it. When I started this project I gave myself a time line I pretty much want to have it wraped up minus paint by the end of October. I now am getting ready to do the fllor pans and some body work. Now my problem is I have the original body spacers I guess you would call them. To put it lightly these things should have probably been changed in 95. Now I have been debating a body lift... I know everyone who just read that sentence sighed. I have found it cheaper to put a 1 inch body lift instead of replacing them. I do plan to put a 6 inch suspension and 35's. I am not huge into offroading I do use it to take my friends and I deep in to the woods for camping/canoeing trips and just all around cruising in the woods. I don't intend on beating this truck because of the amount of hours I have spent working on it. What is your opinion on a body lift in this situation. It's not a show truck or a daily driver more like a fun mobile. Also I have documented everything so far with photos and plan on sharing this rebuild with everyone. Thanks for looking and your help.

I'm not sure why a body lift would be cheaper than just replacing the body bushings. Energy suspension sells the kit for about $79, but you end up having to reuse some of the existing mounting hardware. Even if you have to replace the bolts, it's still under $100. I'm redoing my 82 F150 body bushings now.
