Talking was talked into it lol

As some of yall know i have been considering selling or rebuilding my ol girl well i have decided on the full frame off rebuild and her is my list of plans i would like input if anyone thinks i am missing anything plan for tomorrow though is get pics of everything so everyone can see what i am starting with and i plan on tons apon tons of progress pictures, anyway here is the list of what i have planned so far

1) scrap bed and find replacement
2) after full removal of everything from frame including cab see if the cab is save able and if not then find a southern or western truck either very little rust or rust free
3)clean frame down to bare metal
4)cleaning and replacing any metal that needs fixed
5)2-3 coats of primer on the frame, then putting 5-7 coats of truck bed liner on the frame, then putting another coat of primer on top of that, then putting a coat of frame paint, (thinking ford blue or as close to it as i can)
6) rebuilding both axles (what hasn't already been changed)
7)putting new bushings in the pivot arms on the front axle
8) put on the 3 inch suspension lift on the now rolling chassy
9) taking down to bare metal bottom of either new cab or now fixed old cab, 4-5 coats of rust stopping primer, same for bottom of bed and inside fenders, then a trip for all these parts to ziebart for rhino lining on the bottoms of all these items, then after rhino lining is done putting a couple layers of rustoleum brand flat black on them to help even more, then finally a couple layers of undercoating for everything body wise
10) full engine rebuild including 30 over, slightly ground pistons, completely remand heads, with arp head studs stage 1 injectors and ip
11) custom made twin turbo set up (plan is find turbo that is 3/4 size standard turbo for 6.9/7.3 and have a custom set of headers made to feed each turbo and still have a true dual setup on the truck
12) 3 inch body lift (also allows for my 3 inch exhaust to run almost against the body for the true duals for my 5 inch stacks!
13) a few more gauges to add to the ones i already have (but still not the 12 i want)
14)then i am going to primer and paint the body (of course after i fix any flaws) any area that can hold moisture longer than the main exposed skin of the body, such as between the cab and bed are going to get extra attention such as spray on bed liner and other rust preventatives
15) truck will be finished in a metallic flake midnight blue. with flat black trim, and 35" mt tires of some kind

each turbo be fed by each bank of cylinders but the turbo's will both feed together the intake, and i don't think finding a smaller turbo would be to difficult to find but i know if i do it right i can have fast spooling times also forgot i also want to intercool it (plumbing nightmare) but i also think if i can figure this out right i will have good amount of power from it and if i don't think i can get it right then i will be buying the hypermax pulse turbo kit

wont be hard to find but do you want like 5psi at idle?

just kidding...neat project but id save that headache and just stick to one of the ATS or BANKS kits...they will support over 200 hp....just not as efficiently. but hell i like unique too, i say go for it!

I figured with a turbo per bank there wouldn't be that much exhaust flow until I get into it

It sounds like quite an undertaking. At least its not gonna be as much of a nightmare as someone putting a 6.0h-no in a 1986, seen that done.

save yourself some painting and get this for the undercoat and bed liner parts I have used it and it is awesome and very durable, won't flake or fade like some of the crap out there and it comes in "blue"="ford blue" Bed Liner Paint, Do It Yourself Bed Liner, Roll On Bed Liner

in the last picture you can pull the fender out pretty far because all the inner supports are gone and there are other parts rusted gone

If you want a smaller turbo look into a borg warner 3LD.

I have to wonder; if some guys here are running bigger turbos with stage one pumps and injectors, wouldnt the ats or banks turbo work well with another one and set up as parallel twins? If they are on the small side for stock, they should be big enough to support one bank right?

i figure a stock turbo is designed for two banks but probably wouldn't spool up that fast thats why i figured a smaller turbo
