can the 08 or newer F250 entire front end fit a 2005 model?

Due to a front end collision on my 2005 F250 model, I need to replace the entire front end (hood, fenders, grille, lights, bumper, etc) Will the 2008 or newer model parts fit ok? I've been told the Cab remains the same, true?

parts will fit only after you also replace the frame ends..

the 08+ has a redesigned frame horn area..its quite abit lower then the 07- models..

but the sheetmetal sizing otherwise is the same. in that the fenders and hood do in fact fit.

so in addition to what you need you also would have to add rad support (welded in) and front frame horns (not sure how far back you'd have to splice in), and of course all the other necc. small parts like clips/fasteners..

its a MUCH bigger job then you prolly expect.

If you smacked up the front end on your truck, then I say do it. The parts will be about the same ballpark as the pre-08 parts, and if you have to replace them anyway then you might as well update. Welding in new horns is not that big a deal, your shop should have no problem with it.

Probably will need a header panel too, headlights are pretty different.

Ok great, I will proceed with the upgrade for sure since it makes sense. Once I have the before and after pics I'll show them to you guys. There is not much difference on the cab and bed, is there?

Cheers!

Cab and bed are the same exact cab from 1999-2011. Just the sheet metal's different (tailgate, fenders, hood, etc.) and bumpers.

Ok so, if this is the case, how about I proceed upgrading it in to a 2011 model instead of a 2010, it might not cost a lot more money than what I already have to spend since I have to buy pretty much the entire front and seems like the parts would fit the truck. How about it? Am I being to aggressive or is it feasable?

Nope, not at all. It can be done. Might cost more than you are willing to spend, since the design is so new and Ford will be proud of the parts for a while.

ok then, I will see if moneywise its doable, otherwise I'll upgrade it in to a 2010....either way it's a great project and seems like doing it right the results would be satisfactory. Thanks for your help.

A couple thousand plus should cover parts, by the time its done, every bit of $5000 on the low side. Replacing the 05 front end with a similar would be only a grand in parts.
