Westin Brush Guard Install with pics
Hey guys, I wouldn't really say this is a writeup, but if you're thinking abotu tackling this, it's very easy. Just have a person handy when the time comes.
First step, get truck....
Second step is breaking down the tow hooks. You had better take both the bolts out at the same time, and unthread 'em with your hands so as to not let the plated nut (or wahtever it's called) disappear up there. It's easy, and not as "difficult" as that makes it sound.
Third step, bolt the brackets up...with tow hooks. Pretty easy to catch, and a lot easier to have a second hand hold things steady.
Fourth step, bolt the brush guard up to it...
Fifth, do the brackets that bolt behind the bumper. This was surprisingly a PITA, but pretty easy.
Laslty, sit back and enjoy a beer. Took us about an hour to do it from start to finish.
Here is the truck sitting next to mine.
I gotta admit, that F150 looks good. Too bad it isn't a Ranch hand on there. I told him that hwen he gets some battle scars on the brush guard to come talk to me. Mine's been through another Tundra, a Rav4, and an old Bimmer. (none my fault just for clarification).
Hope this little "writeup" helps you.

OH yeah, and the biggest piece of advice I can give you guys is this... don't tighten any of the bolts all the way down unltil you've gotten all the adjustments done. There wasn't much, but to wiggle the brush guard in there, I had to undo the tow hooks even to get it to wiggle in there.
