35" BFG mud terrains on white 15" - 5 spoke rims

Hi everyone, these tires were on my 9" rear end (white 5 spoke 15" 5 stud), will they only fit on the 9" and D44 or can they fit other makes?

Thanks

they are not differential specific. they are rim size specific.

Thanks Kem,

Aha so these would fit on a chev or dodge, as long as they had a 5 stud pattern and could fit 35"s

They will fit Dodge full size and most Jeep vehicles. The bolt pattern dictates what the wheels will fit. Ford, Dodge, and some Jeeps used to all be 5 on 5.5"

Translation = 5 lugs on a 5.5" diameter circle.

Hi A/T

I dont know yet, Ive got a nice 4" lift kit with leaves for a 78/79 bronco, the tires and wheels are a match with this package, alls I need is a nice 78/79 candidate and whammo, I'll be styling in a sweet 4x4 (oh!!! Im missing a Poly Orange v boot , does anyone know where I could find a solo one?)

And then my dilemma.......

do i stick with 1/2 ton or go 1 ton....zoinks!!!

The way I drive now, it would be alot more technical, not just pedal to the metal and break stuff every second time out.
This was the whole reason I got the 1T D60x2 setup, many years ago

I am still trying to decide what route to take.

Will a bronco with 35's be able to tow a boat or a 24 foot RV,
What would the ideal gear ratio be?

Someone had mentioned that 9" and D44 setup could be just as good as D60 setup id bult the right way.

Im sorry, so many questions in my mind....I guess this is the great part about building/customizing your own truck, finding a great site like this and learning from all the vets!!

Dodge vehicles have a different backspacing, so fitting is likely to be less than ideal, meaning that they are more likely to rub than if they were on Dodge wheels.

I never measured the Jeep/Dodge backspacing, that's a good point. However, I do have a set of 16" steel wheels that came off a very old ****** with 32" tires on them, and their backspacing looked good on my old '83 Bronco. I'm not sure about other Jeep or Dodge wheels, though.

Many Jeep wheels are either very close or identical to F150/Bronco, the newer (94 on) Dodge truck wheels are definitely different -- 5" or more backspacing vs. 3.75" for the 5x5.5" Fords.
