Am I missing something? Can't get the driver side clamp back on turbo

Holy heck. I have the turbo back on the pedestal, and the band clamp around the exhaust turbo input. For the life of me I cannot get that bolt on the other side of the clamp -- it just isn't long enough. I need maybe 2 more rotations on the nut, but wouldn't you know it, the thing is killing me by being 2 mm too short.

Am I completely missing something? It seems to be sitting on the pedestal fine, it is not bolted in place yet.

Ideas?

You don't have it aligned and seated correctly, it'll go with no prob if you get everything lined up. It's tough b/c there's no room in there.

^^What he said. the pipe is not aligned with the turbo. A quick bump to the pipe with a pry bar usually will make it pop together.

I figured that and spent alot of time trying to wiggle it and using the breaker bar to pry it as I had my other hand attempting to line up the pipes. They are VERY close to being lined up. I called it a night but I will give it another go tomorrow. Thanks for the prompt replies.

Loosen the pipe at the manifold header,it is much easier to align with a little slack in the pipe.10&12mm nut and bolt
