What do they look for at those shows? Couldn't be just about how much money you have into it or how much chrome it has. If chrome is that important just paint the whole truck chrome and win everytime. LOL

I hate the whole politics of some of the shows, which is why I'm picky when I choose which ones to go to. Some of the real reputable shows use car restoration experts, mechanics, etc. as the judges and they look at originality, cleanliness, etc. For the chrome and buddy/buddy shows , you can just show up in a chrome car and win every time or know or be related to the judges!
Yeah that's what I was figuring. So the ones that you do. Do they have like ratings on certain areas?
Every show is a little different, but I refuse to go to the ones where it's peer and/or public voting. I've never seen more politics and favor involved than I have on the car show circuit. It can still happen in a judged event, but the chances are much greater when the public and other car enthusiasts are involved, especially the clubs.
