Cat 3208 thermostat

Can someone please help me with finding where, on my 1987 Cat 3208, the thermostat is located. I followed the top radiator hose and took 2 bolts from the housing and nothings there. NAPA tells me I have 2 thermostats but can't tell me where they are located.

This should help:
LOCATION OF WATER TEMPERATURE REGULATORS
If that link doesnt work, they are facing the front, up on the top left of the timing case.
Then, you can get to cranking up the fuel rate.

If it's got a turbo, then upping the fuel will actually make a nice difference. If not, it'll gain a little bit, and possibly smoke a bunch. The 2 thermostats are for reliability(it'll still run with 1 stuck shut).

Mines a turbo, and I'll be working on it in a couple weeks. First let me say thanks. After you gave me the instructions I was able to repair a nagging problem I've had for years. The 3208 belongs to a 1987 Ford FT 8000 bucket truck that I use to make a living in my tree business. I would run way too warm at 200 degrees while pulling my bobcat. I'd have to go very slow just to keep the temp down.
Wellllll with your instructions I was able to find that my motor had no thermostats at all. Just 2 big holes where thermostats were suppose to be. Ordered 2, 180 degree thermostats from NAPA, puy her back together and wammooooo. She cruises at 185 degrees with foot to da floor. Thanks for all your help. I no longer have to worry about going too fast for she might overheat. Yoos guys are life savers.

Well, after you take out the fuel screw, and adjust the rpm to 3100, it'll get hot again.
