Disc brakes

jeffs bronco graveyard sells a kit that doesn't require welding, and you can still use the emergency brake with this kit. i think it's $298 but doesn't include the chevy calipers, but those are easily obtained new for 30 to 40 bucks apiece.

Here's one of the most comprehensive kits I've found:

A member from one of my local forums builds them.

wow. Not bad and new parts! According to him that is all I need. Wouldn't I have more than $315 in new drums?

there are 2 vendors on pirate 4x4 that sell them and should be able to help. One sells the brackets and you add chevy calipers, and the other comes complete as a kit but it seems more expensive to me:

If you are not hauling loads or towing a trailer and your F100 is just a cruiser I would stick with the drums front & back. Do a complete rebuild back to OEM spec's and you should be good to go. I have done a complete rebuilt of my drum/drum setup on my 1971 F250 and it works fine. If you are doing something with your F100 that you need disc I would look into why or what you are doing with the rig. Just my 2cents, good luck with your rebuild.
