Here's a 1966 Mercury with a pushbutton radio:
1966 Mercury M100 Custom Cab
Here's another pushbutton radio, but in a 1963 Ford Unibody:
MINT 1963 Ford F100 Unibody
Now, this might be the first Unibody that I've seen with the pushbutton am radio! Note the white buttons? The two radios I have, and all others that I've tried to document had black buttons.

Radios were an extra cost option. 1966 F Series truck AM radio: $44.65 at the parts counter, less if factory installed.
Some peeps didn't want to pay these prices, went to junkyards, bought whatever.
If y'all think $44.65 is cheap, consider that a buck was worth more back then. A basic stripper F100 short bed Flareside 240 3 S/T could be bought new for less than 2 grand.

It's took me a while, but I finally found some evidence that a Pushbutton AM Radio (with white buttons) was an option, at least for 1965. That part number, however, doesn't match my two radios with black buttons?

Address needed
That is a very cool radio. I am an AM talk radio junkie. I don't listen to much else when I am in my truck. I sent my stock AM radio to an antique radio rebuild shop. They went through it and added a hidden ipod plug in. The radio sound is great. I have only played my ipod on it once to test it. Too bad about your dash. Your radio would look great in the stock placement.
Do you have the name and address of the company you used? I might have some work for them. Thanks.
