55 F100 seat options??

I need some advice on the types of seats that will accommodate the T5 transmission shifter in my F100. It ends up being a bit further back than the usual. I could revamp the original seat but thought there must be something out there that would work better still want the bench style but nothing big and fluffy. I have been told that Ranger seats will work but didn't get what years. If you have ideas and pics that would greatly be appreciated.
Here is what I'm working with.( Not the blue milk crate!!!)

I have Ranger seats in my 55; they work however, you could get something a bit wider, I still have a lot of room on each side of the seat.

And I thought I was the only one that started with a blue milk crate. Only difference my was dark blue. The seats I am using in my 56 are a set of mid-back bucket seats out of a 89 f150. You do have to rework the legs to matchup with the floor. Moved the front two legs back 2.5 inch to gain good front to back movement of the chair and to allow the front legs of the seat to set on the floor crossmember for a solid mount point. Seats do not block the rear window.

You could probably find something nice from a late model vehicle at a local salvage yard - I have the rear seats from a saab 900s in mine and they fit perfectly (I did have to make a frame to mount them on though).

Not the best picture. You can tell I'm still in the project stage. I have the legs setting nine inchs from the outer edge of the floor.

Looking to replace the stock bench with something lower either bench or buckets. I drive an escape for work 2010 with buckets and like them very much. I was at a local pick and pull yesterday and found some but most of the them are airbags and I don't need that. Has anyone taken height out of the lower cushion on the stock seat. I hate to tear it apart since I have a real bad habit of not getting it back together in a timely manner. I sit to high with the five gallon bucket .
