Seems silly to unload the hoe, load the 3pt and the ball attachment, just to pull the trailer out, just to unload the 3pt to put the how back on.
As far as attaching the ball you could do like I've seen on other tractors and mount it permanently in the bucket just past the cutting edge. That would also allow a pretty serious jack knife ability, kind of like tractor trailers. Or fab up a three point hitch to attach to the bucket temporarily (one to the top edge and two for the sides). Then not only would you be able to jack knife but move the hitch for all kinds of positions, on the fly like. With that kind of jack knife ability I think you'd be surprised by the tight spots you could get it into with relative ease.
Might be helpful on the job site as well.

Not a horrible idea, but I would be worried about the ball getting messed up. I will look into an attachment like the pallet forks you clip on the bucket, but has a ball. That would be more up my alley. Still not sure it will fit. The attachments are much smaller than a 24' trailer. I'm sure once she sees how unnoticable it is, she won't mind it being parked where I want it. I just have to get the thing here.

I've seen this (with the ball) in alot of boat yards. Where I used to work (towing) our yard backhoe had a snow plow mount in the bucket and during the rest of the year we used the bucket for all sorts of things, like moving junk cars. so I think the ball would be fine

If that's the case maybe you'd have to hide it just once

A permanently mounted ball in a bucket is just fine. We've got a 3yd payloader with a ball permanently mounted in the bucket. I've loaded rock, dirt, gravel, etc. with that machine and the ball is nothing but rusty. It'll work just fine.

That being said it seems like you'll be using that trailer fairly regularly and while loading/unloading attachments all the time is an option it's not the best option for a trailer seeing regular use. You'll spend half your life loading/unloading the trailer.
