Subscribing also. My rearview mirror acts like it is separating between the glass since I purchased the truck. Been looking for a new one.

FORD F150 AUTO DIM REAR MIRROR BACK UP CAMERA DISPLAY - eBay (item 130547416034 end time Aug-14-11 21:37:13 PDT)

Have this from the factory in my Expy. Works great and is really useful being incorporated into the rearview. Also has auto dim

You can get aftermarket for a bit cheaper, but they aren't as nice as OEM.

I went with aftermarket because the ford facotry set up was close to $500! The gentex is auto dimming and larger than the stock mirror on my ex...

How does that work when it's not in reverse? Is it a normal mirror? Never seen that before.

I have it wired to a toggle that I normally keep on all the time but it will function as a normal mirror, I'll try to get a picture. But the screen totally disappears when off.

Read this thread and specifically pay attention to posts made by Matt M, PA. This is the way to do a reverse camera.

I've been wanting to get one myself I had seen the one that clips on the mirror but don't like the idea of it consuming the whole mirror when the video is on and I really didn't want to fool with running wires front to back.

Just now after reading this thread and the one linked in it, I came across this one- Peak PKC0RG Black Small Rear View Mirror with 3.5" Backup Camera.

Doesn't have night vision but the back up lights should be fine, I mostly need it for hooking up to trailers quickly and I've been going to add some LED fog lights back there anyway.

So its ordered and on its way.

I installed one from Pyle which clipped over an existing rear view mirror for a customer who had gotten it for his birthday. It was decent enough to make out larger items but the image was really washed out. The factory ones which I've seen have all had good picture quality but the images are fairly small.

Found the link to the one he had: http://www.amazon.com/PLCM7300BT-7-I.../dp/B001RJMKOW

I believe that one is made to go on the backside of a sun visor.

I got it installed and the camera I'm very satisfied with. The mirror sucks. It is way to dark. The back windows are factory tinted and I had the rest of it tinted. It might be acceptable if there was no tinting.

It doesn't have night vision but the factory backup lights seem to provide plenty of light.

It does pickup signal from other wireless things also, sometimes it kicks on with just the blue blank screen and sometimes you see the video from someones security camera. It hasn't been a nuissance to me yet.

But as it stands its a camera but mirror is useless.
