C10 steering column

Anyone here ever use a 68-72 C10 steering columnin a 53-55 F100? I found a C10 column with tilt at a reasonable price, but I wanted to check here to see if anyone here has used one. Thanks for any help!!

Well yes and no, my truck is a ’51 and my column is from a P series GMC (late 70'ies), no shifter (floor shift), no tilt, not installed yet.

The most important thing is the length, if you’re not changing the steering boxes etc and it is the same length as the old one or the correct length for what you need, then the connection on to the box, the shifter, the dash and floor bracket, and the wiring are the main concerns.

GM columns have been installed in almost everything, (I think the Hindenburg had one and no, that was not the cause of the accident.)

Lol!! The Hindenburg had one too?! I will be using a Volare front clip. What's the best way to measure a column? I know, I know use a tape measurer....seriously though.
