wondering if you guys would buy these??

Ok I am a poor ME college student and I am thinking of making these traction bars to make some extra money. They would be made of 1.25" 120 walled DOM tubing and they are six feet long. I would most likely charge around $350 for a set of these depending how you wanted them mounted to the axle.

I would have to contact a local machine shop to see if they have a CNC milling center or CNC plasma cutter to get pricing on the letters. I know how to make the program but I made mine during one of my college classes and no longer have easy access to a CNC machine, I would really like to add that option. As for color you can chose whatever color you want because I have an auto body supply shop that I deal with. As for price I think it is fair for the quality of materials and workmanship you’re getting. Here is a picture of some being sold for 330 on ebay and I think mine are made of heavier tubing then these.

price would differ because the "cheaper" version would have the lower part welded to the axle with tab brackets and the more expensive version would be like this, which is what I have on my truck...

The more expensive way takes about 4hrs of extra fab work to make both brackets. So it's not that I wouldn't mind making them like the one in the picture but it takes more time so more money.

Thanks for the comment and I made them this way to have something different then the guys with traction bars around my town. They all have single bars instead of two on each side.

if you look at these bars, they are stamped sheet metal with one tube.
I'm sure they are good, but for 330? come on.

Nice looking traction bars I'd buy a set if I had the extra cash. Right now looking at installing gauges once I figure out what's up with my oil leak first.
It is a nice looking truck too.

I probably won’t be making them till like July or August of this year because I need to save some money to buy tools to make it easier and faster to make a set. It took about 20hrs to make the ones on my truck. So save the pennies and maybe you can buy a set down the road, because if I see the demand then I will make them and keep making them, and thanks for the compliment about my truck, it’s my first diesel and I have done a lot to get it to where it is at.
