IPR Socket
#46

First time I messed with one I called my mechanic buddy to see if he had the "special tool" needed to remove the IPR? He said, "you mean an 1 1/8" box end?" I said no the socket looking thing with a handle welded on. He laughed and said never seen the need for one, then he asked if I had TWO 1 1/8" box end wrenches? and said If so they will very likely have different broaching angles and one of them will fit between things and break the IPR loose. Then wrap tape around the jaws of a pair or pliars and turn it by the shaft a couple turns and then fingers will do.
That's all I have ever needed to remove an IPR

Butch,
That makes sense.
I cut a deepwell socket down and re-welded, fits perfectly to get behind everything so it's a breeze.
Many ways to do it I guess...
