The Ford HAMB
Not sure if I like the new style. The Ford Barn - Powered by vBulletin
It's very HAMBenesque. I think that a lot of the "older" users that frequented the old Ford Barn will be turned off by the new layout and design. It might prove to be too complicated to use.

Just my opinion but quality of discussions at fordbarn went downhill a few years ago when a bunch of grouchy "original/restorationists" took it over. Quality of posts was replaced by quantity - and the in-crowd could discuss OT items, but hammered anybody else that asked an honest question by mistake.
Personally I hope for better things now.

I personally like the new format. I hated not being able to preview and edit your posts. I had to double post many times when my posts didn't come out like I thought they would. I think the new format is a lot easier than the old, it's pretty much the same as FTE. I don't really care if it resemble other sites, the main point is the exchange of information.

As stated, the format is like the HAMB. It will take time for some people to get used to it. It's pretty easy to navigate. One big plus will be the search function. The old search function was very ineffective. Lots of valuable information to "mine for" on Fordbarn!
This forum could take some lessons from the HAMB or Fordbarn in areas such as classifieds and picture posting. It's just so much user friendly "over there". Even I can do it, and I'm not even a cave man!

yep on the classifieds . i've complained a couple of times . it was much easier when it was the old way broken down into the groups according to the forums , that way we could find what we want without having to scour through everything else from all forums . last post i said that it was a cluster / pain in the **** got deleted so ........................ bob outside of some occassional off the wall comments i pretty much behave myself unless i'm provoked . on sammich i got provoked . even asked the fella from 'round here if he wanted to meet and discuss his " issues " with me face to face . i can take being made fun of cajoled , and such , but when it's time for me to return it don't get p-ss- with me as you can't take it . and even though we have our disagreements here , light vs. darkside , we do not jump on each others butts or make really nasty comments about how anothers vehicle looks , and we , even though we can and do have our dislikes , still welcome all to this site . sammich doesn't .
