Remove the fuse block access panel and look up behind the radio - you'll have to move some of the white insulation out of the way to read the numbers off the VSM. You can also try removing the trash bag hook panel and looking up through that hole too - on my '06 F350 I was able to read some of the numbers by looking from the fuse access panel, then the rest of the numbers through the trash bag hole. No need to remove the dash and radio.
I could see mine by removing the panty holder. Then just follow the direction in the ownersmanual step by step to set your own new code. something easy to remember like 36-24-3x darn only uses 5 numbers. lol
Dang Scott.... found all three of mine in there..cough.. I mean the three from my three old trucks, not my new one, so don't bother coming to Lubbock with that hack...... kinda wish that hadn't been posted now.
That crap has been posted on here in the Excursion forum for a few years now. Kind of sucks, but on the other hand may give me an excuse to shoot someone. Anyway, I found mine just behind my pantyholder as well. Just took it off, it was right there.
Sorry if my post upsets anyone, however if you did a search, you can find that same link in at least half of dozen posts on this site. Just trying to help others out........peace
