I am involved in the Ferris State University HPMSO [High Performance Motor Sports Organization]. We are having our yearly show on April 24, 2010 if any one is interested.

Registration is $8 if registered by 5pm April 23rd or $10 at the door.

Classes
Best in show, 4x4 Truck, Sport Compact, Late Model, Classic Car/Truck (Pre '81), Motorcycle, Best Beater

We also have a Loud Bass and Load Exhaust Competition
(Should try and get capitolcustoms here for that one)
Car Bash --- "ended up flipping the car last year with the truck"

Also i may be able to get some coupons for hotel stays if necessary through school.

We could even make it a meetup and go to one of the local Bar establishments after the show. Just got our very own Buffalo Wild Wings.

sounds good to me., if only the dealer gets my truck fixed right. they did a turbo, ( not needed ) fuel pressure reg. ( not needed) now a high pressure oil o-ring needed we are fighting over coolant leak and knock in motor.
they say they can`t find anything but we smell coolant from the exhaust
and have had to add coolant 1 1/2 gal in the last 6 mo. also hear knock. did combustion leak test here. pos.,for gases in coolant
I know a knock when I hear it. called ford customer care waiting for word back warranty over on 2/14/2010

 

glad to hear you guys are still doing this. i wondered if HPMSO was still going. when i was VP there weren't a whole lot of "motivated" members, haha.

what are you guys using for a sound meter? we had an actual SPL setup that some shop brought one year, but the last year i was there we had to use some kind of mic wired to a laptop.... it was pretty crappy, haha.

 

Hey bbender85, ya we are still around we have a couple good members. I havnt been able to meet up with everybody because of projects but they meet every week.

the last couple of years we have borrowed a nice handheld meter so that we can get into the vehicle for sound tests. it has worked out pretty good so far.

I really don't, but you know how taking 3 crusty old F250s & putting them into 1 always makes for a helluva beater...

just depends on how late i stay out and play, of course i could get a hotel room up by there. would just need to wash the truck before I get there.
