well... i have thought about going with dp tuner and just getting a chip for towing and economy. (ok and a mild performance tune) But when i'm on the website and looking at the tunes it doesn't tell me mpg gains for the econo tunes, just hp gains. so if you guys can tell me the mpg gains with those tunes then i'm all for the chip.

I'm not sure about the mpg gains, but typically you gain mpg's even in the performance tunes, provided you don't mat it all the time. Even when I had my Edge chip in the extreme tune I saw 1-2 mpg increase, and I did mat it often.
I would say a ball park fax increase would be 3, maybe 4 mpg, but depends alot on the rest of the truck. Transmission, 2x4 vs. 4x4, injector condition, you can also improve fuel economy by doing a aftermarket downpipe and good intake mod. In addition, the downpipe and intake will also give you more power and make that chip work even better.
It'll also help keep those egt's down.

FYI...... The CS and CTS look like they are new. I have the Evolution Programmer as I am sure most people do. You might want to find out when they came out. The Evo did cause some problems with some trucks. Edge might have ironed out all of that with the CS and CT......

they supposedly did according to Bill at PHP but Id rather buy one from Bill as he's cheaper and he can reprogram and fix any problems with it/ customize the tunes vs edge. The CS and CTS were released a couple weeks ago and they have the programming from the evo and mileage max systems integrated in them.

In all honesty, Edge can and will put custom tunes on a edge. Supposedly you could take the box apart and there was a usb port on the inside so you didn't even have to send it in, but I just wanted the thing gone. But you'll never be able to switch tunes on the fly with an Edge Evo like you can with DP, TW, or PHP.
I noticed a BIG difference from the tow setting to the extreme setting, but then again when it went haywire I had more power in stock mode, lol.

Something is wrong then. No real change on the higher settings for me. Might be my truck but its just one of many things Ill have to look into.

I am close to 100,000 miles with my edge evolution. I leave it at 60 hp. I ran it on 80 hp for 1 day and went back to 60 hp, it would take me a while to even find the programer if I needed it as I use Auto enginuity for cods.
my truck gets 17.6 mpg combined city and highway. 10 to 11 towing, '97 F250 4X4 5 speed 4.10 gears
