2nd to last pic of your first post is a '56. The Big job is like a 53-55, I can't remember the differences in the grilles between those years but that was the only thing changed. 2nd to last pic in your 2nd post is a 71-72'.
It amazes me how these old low hp trucks built America and yet modern day trucks don't have enough HP to satisfy the masses. Pure nostalgia, I love it. Thanks for the pics sir.
I assume it had the distributor at the back? I was actually going to ask which engine it had, it should be a Y block good chance it was a 272, possibly a 292, but even my '56 F350 has a 272 in it. I would love that "semi" setup. The front rim on it is very interesting, not to mention just the whole thing is.

Those 5 & 6 Spoke wheels are called "BUDD" wheels vs. the wheels you see today,"DAYTON" Budd's were a little harder to mount on the truck, You tightened the lugnut to straighten up the wheel(Wheel Wobble) vs. the Hub Mount or Pilot Mount Dayton wheels of today. If you ever change your tires on your truck, you'll notice a raised ridge around the base of the stud and the "WEDGE" shape of the lugnut. It's designed to "CENTER" the wheel on the axle. Budd's were thought to be lighter in weight but to me it was a nightmare to do a tire repair, ESPECIALLY with the lockrings and the outlawed SPLIT RIM. (TOTALLY UNSAFE!!!)
