so today joe made the 75 mile trip from his pad to sacramento to help swap the 2wd zf5 with the 4wd zf5 from my parts truck.
today we removed the 2wd trans out of the tow pig, and started the dmf conversion i spent $595 on a smf only to find out that my truck already had a smf with a luk clutch. the only problem we saw was this
that is what is left of the bushing that holds the pilot bearing.
these are the rest of the pics (not much)
unfortunately the boss (the guy getting $parts for the work) was snapping the whip to get moooooving. i didn't even get to have a beer till about 6:15 ish
what is left to do
tighten the top two BH bolts.
get and install a new carrier bearing
install the drive lines
put the interior back together
fill tc and trans
hope the trans is good
