Road Armor and 05 conversion W/PICS
Here is my stock setup. not to bad for 8 years old
Stock header panel and lights removed as one piece, removing this as one piece makes it SUPER EASY! 2005 OEM header panel behind
Front of the truck gutted. The black brackets on the frame horns is where the new bumper mounts up
2005 header panel mounted up and a dry fir of the 2005 Road Armor bumper.
Harley edition headlights installed. XL grill installed.
So everything went pretty smooth. With exception of the bumper every piece I used was OEM and I am glad I went this route. The parts bolt up perfectly and include all the hardware/speednuts/u bolts that don't generally come with aftermarket stuff.
I dont like the huge logo on the bumper so I will prob cut it out and fab up a piece to cover the hole. Also need to get some lights for the pods.
A big thanks to Clay for the Harley lights, they look dang good.
A big thanks to ED as well, Even in the midst of combining Horizon/y2k Ford parts he was able to get me the XL grill and header panel right before I needed them.
And more thanks to FTE, you guys answered my questions and helped me navigate the conversion, I knew what I was going to do even before I turned a screw
I got my Road Armor bumper thru Top Guns Customz.
Please feel free to ask any questions
