They tend to be priced a bit higher than some, at least on their diesel stuff.

I have been completely satisfied with my banks full kit. I topped it off with a SCT tuner.

It have been 5 years and 100k miles on my banks kit and still going.

I have the 6-gun, IQ and the air ram on my truck. Works great. Clean tune, works with the emissions stuff. I would recommend them, just deal with banks themselves, cut out the aftermarket sellers as you will get first rate service with them.

I just had a clip break when I took a cable off for service. Called them up and then sent one right out, no questions.

I have Banks on my V10. You definitely get what you pay for. Couldn't be happier with them. Rich at ext. 4110 is your man for direct, factory ordering.

I will say the same: good products, higher retail price than some of the competition
I bought their Dynafact gauges, they are just Ok.
My Banks engine oil temp gauge needs to be replaced, otherwise all other diesel gauges work perfectly. My Monster exhaust system sounded great and was well made SS. There are def other brads that offer great quality without the high price IMO

I keep hearing people say that Banks is over priced. On many things I agree. Exhaust systems? I'm not so sure.... problem is that I can't seem to figure out what kind of stainless that Banks uses, T304 or T409 stainless? If it is T409 then the price is ridiculously high. If it is T304 then it seems to be a real deal. Which is it?

I guess I killed the thread.

The last post in a thread is always the one post that really didn't matter. LOL!

I believe 300 series stainless is non-magnetic so if someone has a Banks exhaust and can put a magnet to it and report back that would be a big help.

Ya, I wish somebody would reply about the banks. I'm really curious what type of stainless they use. I am chomping at the bit to buy and install exhaust while the weather is perfect for car work. Please don't make me do the easy thing and actually call Banks help line.

I am not sure of the material but I know a few that put it on. They did the duals. Said they needed to drop the spare and I think they may have had to mess with one of the brackets a bit but otherwise was a good install and does look nice.

That is about all I know.

I called Banks to find out. T409 tubes and T304 muffler case and exhaust tip. They intentionally use T409 for the tubes because it gets heat cycled. Apparently, T304 can get somewhat brittle when heat cycled. They use premium materials on the two items that tend to rust out first, or need to look good.

I just ordered a single Monster Exhaust direct from Banks and they gave me a better price than anybody else I found, including XtremeDiesel, plus I got free shipping (just by asking). Still not exactly cheap, but I at least feel like I did as good as I could. It seems to me that the less expensive exhaust systems are more oriented toward loud sound, and I want quiet. From what I can tell the Banks is one of the most quiet. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
