Where do you work on your truck?

I do some work in my two car garage, but I do alot of the prep work at my job. I have a blast cabnet there and I use a old GMC bobtail for my pressure blaster and have a 42' cargo container to store my parts and other projects in. Also I have a 52' trailer I keep the rest of my spare parts in.

I am envious of folks who have garages, carports or even a shed to work under, my truck and other vehicles have been built sitting out in the driveway. When it rains, I get wet. When the sun shines, I get a tan. When it's too cold, I go inside and hug the heater But eventually, I get it done

One day I hope to own a house where I can build a big shop in the back yard to do my work in. The only problem is all the new houses they are building around here have about 1 foot of yard around the house before you are touching your neighbors house. Ill have to move far away if I want to find a house somewhere that actually has land around it to build a shop on.

I just work in my garage. I have all of my dads old (50s/60s vintage) cast iron Craftsman and Rockwell wood working tools in there too (two table saws, radial arm saw, wood lathe, two drill presses, two band saws, scroll saw, and my acetylene tanks).
Since I moved up to the ranch, I was able to put the boat in the tractor/horse trailer shed, and now I have only the truck to park in the garage. The garage is huge. It's 2 1/2 car, but it's also 10 feet longer than my last garage. Must have been built for a station wagon. If I scew them a little I can fit both the truck and the trailer (a 6 1/2 foot pick up bed with a 3 ft tongue on the front) in the garage front to back and close the door. I have two large work benches and lots of tall cabinets to store tools in cases, paint, clamps, etc.
With just the truck parked in there, I have six feet in the front and three in the back plus 6 feet on either side (even with the machines up against the walls and work benches). Makes the thing very easy to work on!

Mostly in my attached 2 car garage. It's long enough to fit my 08 F350 CC LB 4x4. But, my EB takes up the garage when I'm working on it. (sorry, no F100 yet for me.. am looking though).
Last sunday was NICE... so I pushed the Bronco out into my driveway (long enough to fit at least 2.5 of my F350s on it) and did some work out there.

I have a 30x36 garage two story with woodworking stuff in the upstairs and a lot of junk downstairs. I have my tractor on one side of it right now and my son's 1952 F1 on the other side all taken apart down to the frame. I am planning on moving the tractor under a carport so I can get my 1952 truck in to start working on it also along with my son's at the same time. That is the plan any how right now. My truck sits out side on a concrete slab 40x40 in front of the garage right now. Going to build the carport this summer so the tractor and 16' lowboy will fit a long with the back hole and mini bikes for the grandkids. That should clear enough space to get to work. Plans in the working now.

I feel the same way except I am only 20 years old and work on my truck at my dads house. Hes got a single car garage that he is building a 64 Comet in so I have to build my truck outside.

I spent many a year working on the street curb and lying in wet gutters, or rain, or whatever. In fact, I spent a lot of that time with a 64 Comet..... Keep the faith. As you get older you'll gravitate and work towards the surroundings and tools that will replace your youth and enthusiasm

I have a two car garage but mine sits and gets worked on under the car port. I could just barley squeeze it in if I cleared one side completly. But with 3 harleys and a quad, just not going to happen. Have a nice bench, drill press and several nice tool boxes. Full size frig to keep the cokes cold and a good sterio to listen to while i work!
