The most common cause of the light staying on is the door latch switches. The switch for the dome light is part of the door latch in the door. Use some WD-40 or equivalent and soak the latch as best you can. This usually solves the problem but if not, you will have to replace the switch which means taking the door panel off. There are many threads about this here so do a search for more info.

Don't know if this will affect your chattering relay but it is a first step.

Fuse #14 under dash is for the dome, courtesy and cargo lamps.

If the cargo and courtesy lamps aren't staying on then there may be a wiring short to ground on the dome light wiring.
