I have a 2015 SD 6.7 that's badged as a Lariat but when I use the Ford Vin decoder it comes back as a Platinum. It seems to have all the bells and whistles, what am I missing?

 

The public online VIN decoders are often wrong about trim packages since the trim level isn't encoded in the VIN. I wouldn't rely on them for accuracy. Your Ford dealer can probably get you a copy of the window sticker if you have a good relationship with them.

Do a google search for a 2015 SD sales brochure, download it and compare the options lists for the Limited and Platinum and compare to your truck to see what is or isn't there.

 

That apply to the Ford site also? Not that it really makes a difference but I get an occasional error code body misconfigured.

As per OASIS and the window sticker it is a lariat with the ultimate package.

 

Thanks, I know it had more than I would have ordered if I bought new, but at under 50K @ under 50k miles in 2017 I couldn't pass it my 06 was dying a slow death.

 

I have a 2013 Lariat 6.2 that shows up as a platinum in VIN decoders also. It definitely isn't a platinum since I'm the original owner and still have the window sticker.
