i replaced the shackle bushings in my 78 f250 a few summers ago. the bolts were rusted in so i used a sawzall to cut them off and then used a torch to burn the old rubber out. after that i used a pick and screw driver to fold the old sleeve in on it's self to remove it. then used a copper cleaning brush on a drill to clean the inside up. i installed polly bushing and used the assembly lube that they supplied to reinstall. hope this helps.
