best rear end ratio mpg

Hello,

Looking to buy a 7.3 6speed

What rear end would be the best for MPG's ?

I drive 50% city 50% highway with trailer on highway.

Thanks,
Robert

PS: will add tuner & larger exhaust

do you do much towing?

unfortunaly to change gears out on the trucks you will be spedning a pretty penny, unless you can do it yourself and not go crazy before you shim it all correctly.

i wanted to get mine done when i had my lift and it was about 1700 bucks including the gears that i was going to buy myself.

Correct, looking at stock gears. Getting close to buying a 99 with 4:10 limited slip.

Have an automatic 6.0 with 3.73 now. Not sure how the 6speed with 4:10 would do. I'm assuming better city & worst at 70 + mph. I guess better thru mountains on highway pulling big load.
