Pete, the last 4-5 days have been like that here, well close anyway. LOTS of melting going on.

Hey Dave, how's it going? No experience breaking in new gears, I found this though:

Thanks mike, I had seen that one before. I have seen, several differant write ups? Some of them say to change the oil after a few cycles, and others dont.

I'd proabably change the oil after a few hundred miles, just to be safe. Kinda like changing the oil after breaking in a new engine, it's cheap insurance.

I'm having a hell of a time finding a new project truck, looking for a 78-79 F250/F350 with a D60 front and prefereably a 4 speed. I found 2 last week, one was $900/BO and the other was $800 Firm, missed both of them by a few hours. Problem is, everyone thinks the D60 front in these trucks is made out of gold.

I'll keep an eye out for any trucks in my neighborhood that match what your looking for Mike.
I must be starting to get spring fever, today I pulled the battery out of my 76 and brought it into the basement to charge. Might fire the old girl up tomorrow.

Dave, that should work fine for the front.

Thanks Pete, I appreciate it.

I should dig my 78 out of the snowbank and get it in the shop for an engine swap.

Sounds good to me Mike, Guess i am going for a ride after work tommorow. The little bit I drive it to get home the other day, The 4.56's sure make a differance. It feels like a normal truck driving down the road.

Going OK Nick, could be better though. Getting VERY antsy to get back to work, this is the first year in the last 5 I've had so much time off, and I really don't like it.

Nick, you ever find a box for your Ranger? I *may* have one to get rid of soon.

Dave, I had 4.56's in my 79 and what a difference over the 3.50's. At the time I only had 33's on it, seemed like a whole different truck.

My dog ran off last night around 6, I looked for him for about an hour with no luck. Sitting here this morning at 8:30 and the vet called, said someone called in to report they had my dog. I never realized how much I'd miss the fool until he was gone.

I am going to take it for about a 15 mile ride each way tonight, and get some dinner. I had 3.55's it, hopefully it's in the power band at highway speads now.
