7.3IDI turbo VS 6.5 Turbo

This is not a Chevy bashing thread but just wanted some honest opinions about our IDI's vs the 6.5 turbo. I looked up the specs and they both look pretty closely matched. But real world experience is better that what it says on paper. So have at it and give me some feedback. P.S I just got done installing my Banks Turbo System on my 93 F350. Can wait to drive it.

They chevy (and yes I owned one) for a driver was peppy and good on fuel, now hook on to any kind of load and there is no comparison.

The 6.5 turbo is comparable to a N/A 7.3, other than the 99/00 ones that supposedly make 195/430, all the rest are 180 hp, 360 ft/lb, but, even at that, a 7.3 just pulls better. The GM's are known for better fuel mileage, but, the trucks they come in are also lighter.

Having just done heads on one, I can say that the 6.5 is a VERY light duty engine compared to our engines, however, I do know of more than a few of them that have been 100% bone stock their entire lives and have never been worked hard that have a pile of miles on 'em, but, I know of far more that have had problems since day one.
