1995 5.8 correct firing order

this truck has the h in the vin. need to know the correct firing order, alot of places say this thing has two diffrent one's and i need the right one. we have replaced dist.,wires, plugs, coil, cap, rotor, and this thing is running rough checked the plug wires to make sure they were in the right place. now keep in mind before we started this major tune up the truck would start perfect and run for about 45 min and then when you tried to move it it would die and you couldn't start it back up. people said pickup coil or coil well it has new everthing on it now and still problems. any help on this thanks. timing is set 10 btdc

There's only one order for the 5.8: 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. The distributor turns counter clock-wise and the cylinders are 1-4 front-back on passenger side, and 5-8 front to badk on the driver side.

You removed the spout plug(to disable computer advance) before setting the timing correct?

yes pulled spout out and set timing, replaced plug and this is how it's running. one question though that 10 tdc is this after you replace the plug back in because one time we went 10 tdc and put the plug back in and it was on tdc, so we backed it up another 5 to 7 and had 10 tdc with plug in any feed back on this.

You want it at 10 degrees before TDC with the spout out and this should jump up to around 20 degrees or more when the spout is put back in.
