Good thing for you, you have an excellent engine for your application. Full length headers and a 4.10 gear set will wake your truck up like you wouldn't believe.

The 302 with a 4.10 gear set is a match made in Heaven.

Have you considered going to Lightning suspension and rims?

Do you have any pictures of the truck?

^ I just don't know if the extended cab will look that great.. LIFTED to the moon looks badass. You got a link to an album pics of your truck? I'd like to see more. Yours looks awesome. I'm gonna do the E-Fans and UDP this spring. Do I need the AIR system with 'race' cats?? I wanted to do LT's and an H-pipe setup from a mustang, but the money will be tight this summer. How much will the 4.10 affect the HW mileage?

I'll have to do a photoshop job of it.. I don't have a lot of pics of the truck.

I don't know anything about AIR systems. Just use a regular highflow cat. I like Magnaflow, but I'm sure there are better brands.

I have a 300, which is the opposite of your 302, and when I went with the 4.10 gear my highway milage sunk. However, the 302 love high revs and makes great power in the upper band.. So with that said, I think it's safe to say your in-town milage would stay the same or better and your highway wouldn't be near as bad as mine. Don't take anything I say as concrete. Other guys on here will know better.

Thank you very much for the kind words. If I could tell you to do anything, it would be NOT to lift your truck. I like my truck, but it looked every bit as mean at stock height, and it was obviously 2wd.. I just embarass myself now when I get stuck and people wonder why I don't kick it into 4wd.
Not to mention your truck will ride better, handle better, perform better and get better fuel milage if you keep it at stock height.

Do the exhaust with high flow cats and full length tail pipes and it will sound amazing and give you good performance.

What gear ratio do you have now?

By the way man your truck looks great too!

^ Not sure on the gearing. Possibly 3.23. I'd like to do the exhaust as the headers are cheap. CheapER than the Camaro @ $900 JUST for the LT's.

The gas mileage seems to be great on the HW at around 1900rpm. Anything over that it starts to suck.

Nevermind then man. Keep the gears you got or you'll hate your highway fuel milage.

Have you thought about a roll pan? Just for looks.

Heres one slightly lowered http://www.f150online.com/galleries/...allery3474.jpg

Basically any truck lowered is going to be more likely 2wd. Remember that if you want to jack it up its going to kill your gas mileage and then the bigger tires will kill it even more well lowering it may help mpg.
If i was going to lower it... i would lower it a inch or two and buy some 18s or 18" and 19" match or 20s if you like rims that big and it wouldnt look that bad at all... Theres not to many that lower ext. cab trucks of our years so you wont have a ton to look at for ideas...

^ Thanx for the help and advice, but I'm really not a fan of lowering trucks. Doesn't look right to me. I'll prolly look into a leveling kit for the front and maybe an inch or two block for the back as well. Just something to lift it just a hair so the front wheels don't sit soo far into the wheel wells as they do now.
