Spent part of Saturday fiddling with my roller rockers to make sure they were adjusted right, put the spacer on between the damper and the crank pulley(had a slight mismatch) Bled the brakes due to the pedal felt kinda spongey from when I replaced the master cyl. Then Sunday I gave it the annual-once-a-year bath and body inspection where I literally scrub the green crap that grows on it. Then as Im scrubbin I see where theres rust trying to get established so I get my bucket of clean water and some 220 wet/dry and attack the rust, prime it, shoot it with some Dupli-Color Wimbledon white and we're lookin good!! Wasn't prepping for a show, but I am going to the beach for the 4th and I want to look good when Im representin'

Yeah...it's killing me...I removed the gas tank and in process of installing a new RCI aluminum fuel cell and electric pump, but's it's been since last fall since I have had a chance to get back on it. I built a new workshop to work on it, but keep having to pull it out to fix my wife's GMC Yukon. I have now replaced the tires, installed a new battery, replaced the oil pump (stranded on the road), water pump was leaking (replaced that), and just recently replaced the lifters due to alot of valve train noise (you have to pull the heads to change the lifters on the GM/Chevy 5.3 motors)....along with a few other odds and ends. In GM's defense it does have 174k on it now, but I have had two F150 5.4 Triton's that went well into the 100k's when I sold with 0 problems. Looking for a SuperCrew now.....but ready to get back to work on my '73.

Saturday the wife and I went on a 250 mile road trip up through Evanston Wy, and up into the Uinta Mountains.
Today I washed all the suicidal bugs off the front end and windshield, washed the rest of her off and cleaned and vacuumed the interior while I was at it. Now I just got to get her ready for a 600 mile trip up through Idaho in 3 weeks.
