Aftermarket Transmission Temp Gauge
#2
I run an Auto Meter Phantom on mine. Seems to work really well. Use the trans test port to install the sender.
I wired the sender through a switch so I can use the trans temp gauge to display trans temp, oil temp, and rear diff temp.

I like that set up of yours...never would have thought about that.
Is that a three way switch in order to use one gauge for all sensors?
I would rather have the gauges on the bottom area of the speedo
cluster, instead of in the open. They might get smacked in my truck.
Thats my next thing to do on my list of to do things.

Yep, I can display any of the three temps on my transmission temp gauge. The switch is a single pole three throw switch. I got it from Digikey:
Digi-Key - 360-1855-ND (Manufacturer - M2024ES1G01-RO)
Another option is to use a rotary switch. A rotary switch can offer more inputs if you'd like to monitor more than three temps.
