Amps to volts?

Has anyone rewired the factory amp gauge to read volts? Or are there any aftermarket gauges that would match, fit, and read volts?

There is a thread on here somewhere. You send your gauge to a guy who converts it over somehow.

The guy is Rocketman and he does a great job of converting the ammeter to a volt meter. I had him set mine so it reads dead center at 14.4 volts, which is where most regulators want the voltage to run.

Thanks for the info. Good thing I have a spare from when I grabbed the replacement cluster.

I have tried the search on the phone app. Very difficult to use. Only see about ten threads at a time.

EDIT: I was wrong about where mine points. You might look at this post, which shows where my meter points and different voltages. But, here are the pics:

I think I conversed with that guy over on MercuryCougar.net and TheCurb. Back when I had my 73 XR7.
