Sterling 10.25 Axle question
I gotta rebuild my rear axle and I want to go ahead and add limited slip to it. I want to have the Tru-Trac LS and not the crappy old style.
I got a '96 F250 which has the 6.5x8 lug pattern with drum brakes. I was wondering if I could get a used axle out of a superduty which has disc brakes and the Tru-Trac LS and somehow convert the hubs to 6.5x8?

Axle Question
Hey South, I am in the process of finding a LS for my 10.25 as well for my '88 250. My biggest question is weather I have a floating or semi-floating axle; turns out I have the semi-floating axle (99.999% sure), due to not having the bolts on the end of the axle. So with that, I have to go with the Dana Traclock LS. I have been speaking with the tech's over at Richmond Gear about this. I am not sure if this will help, but I just wanted to pass along what I have been discovering in my research.
