Flareside parts question.

Trying to find a part for my recently purchased Flareside, but no luck.

The fiberglass steps on the Flaresides bolt to a Metal support bracket that then bolts to the frame. Where can I find those metal support brackets?

Searched the LMC catalog and some google searches, ebay, no luck.

this has been asked before and IIRC,the answer was that nobody makes them, you have to go to a junkyard or have some fabbed up for you at a shop. I feel your pain,my 95 has them but they are in good shape right now, which is surprising considering all the salt they use on the roads around here.

Have you considered checking with your local Ford dealership's parts counter? I would also check with NPD (NPDLink | National Parts Depot) as they sometimes have things that LMC doesn't

I was worried about that. Will have to keep an eye out for parts trucks I suppose.

Just to update...

Can't find these things to save my life. Checked with Ford and as has been mentioned, no one makes them. Anyone even have a pic of the support bracket for me to use as a reference when talking to a shop?

Tried the local yards, but in WI, everything is rotted out.

I'll post up a pic as soon as my truck gets back from the hospital.

I called the dealership, they are a discontinued part number but were listing for around $500. I will probably have something made up, just want some photos to get an idea what it even looks like. Truck came without the steps attached and any remnants of the bracket gone.
