is my truck lifted or factory?

I looked under the rear of my truck and didnt see any blocks, but, the P.O. could have put arched springs in I figure. just wondering if its factory or if its already been lifted a little. eventually I want to lift it more, and want to make sure its done right. heres a pic of my 79 f150 4x4 with 31" tires.

all 1/2 tons sit higher in the rear. if the truck looks level in the front as it does the rear it either has a lift installed, taller front springs or the rear leafs are worn and sagging.

The "Highboy" does not have a "factory lift". Ford just changed the ride height slightly for the 77.5 model. The Highboy is only about 2 inches taller than the 77.5-79 models. They LOOKED like they had a lift kit when compared to a 3/4 ton Chevy of the same era. But, they are barely any taller than the "Lowboy" models.

a factory 4inch block is a lift of sorts what i was getting at as if you look at the highboy compared to this 1/2ton

Say what I have owned both at the same time, while I have never taken a tape and measured them the highboy sets pretty tall next to the 79.

the op of this thread probably doesnt care if the 3/4 ton trucks sit higher than his 1/2 ton. you're trying to compare 3 totally different suspension setups. i think he is more interested in his 79 1/2 ton more than anything.

All 4x4 Ford trucks have a factory rear block..... I don't understand how this translates into a "lift kit"

Also, nearly all "Highboys" which claim to be "stock" or "factory lifted".........have actually been modified in some way. I'll see if I can find some pics......

I am going to try and link some pics from another site. Not sure if it's going to work though....

Anyways, here is a truck that is for sale on Rustfree Classics. The truck is advertised as a stock height 75 Highboy

But, if you look close.....

...those are aftermarket lift springs....with ANOTHER extra leaf added to the bottom (not sure what they were thinking)

And, check out the back...

....those are NOT the factory blocks.

So, this "factory lifted" truck was actually lifted by someone else.

that is the factory height of a 75 3/4 4x4. those springs in the pictures you show are the factory setup for pre 77 3/4 tons except for the add-a-leaf in the front. the rear blocks looked like they were swapped out with the factory ones but retain the same height as factory ones. springs are factory. i dont know where you got the info and idea on that the truck was lifted. look at my truck in my profile. all it has is a 3" body lift with 36's. the suspension is still bone stock.
