I just spoke to a shop here about this today. I have a 4" lift on my 2005 Excursion 4x4

They told me the 4" lift is made for 33" tires but 35" tires could fit with a little trimming

36" seems to be too much

dont really want to trim the fenders or get a 6" lift. but i have seen plenty of psd around here with what looks like only 4 inches and 35's but i dont know how much rubing goes on while offroading.

This for your 95?
A 4" lift should fit 35's just fine, may need to trim the back corners of the bumper, but that's about it.

As for 4" being for 33's on a S/D, that's funny... A little trimming will put 35's on stock, 4" and 35's fit very nicely, and a couple friends of mien are running 37's on a 4" lift and it works out quite nicely.
