I have a 1976 F-150 Supercab, 390, C6. My issue now is the lighting on the right side of the truck. The front right parking light is not working correctly. The parking light blinks when the turn signal is on and the parking light never comes on. The right side rear lights work correctly, but are dimmer then the left (including the brake). Any sugestions? thanks.
I cut the harness off and taped the wires on the bulb and it solved the problem in the front. I guess i have a bad harness, but not sure about the right rear dimness.
Sounds almost like the issue I was having. Go to your auto parts store and get new bulb sockets and replace them. I did that and it solved all my problems. They are like $8 each.
yea, these old harnesses get abused and cracked and funny things like this happens. I had problems with my headlights and found bad sockets so I replaced the sockets and added relays for the headlights and everything works great now.
