460 from a late 89 to a early 91

Hello, Any pointers for an engine swap for a 460 from a late 89 to a early 91? Does the whole front clip need to be pulled or just the radiator and such?

They both had same trans and had ac. I am trying to help a friend this weekend. I was looking for any hints or special items to have ahead of time specific to this swap. I have the tools and equipment but all of my background is in diesels. I have swapped 7.3 diesels before but never a gas motor.

Thanks,

These motors are identical so the swap should be straight forward. Do not change anything on the truck except the motor, so don't use any wiring attached to the donor motor and I'd even go as far as using the same flywheel/flexplate and accessory brackets. If the truck has AC you can unbolt the compressor from the bracket and tie it out of the way without disconnecting the lines. The front clip does not have to come off either, just remove the rad and hood and there will be enough room.
