Thanks for your input. Would you happen to have some close up pictures of how yours turned out?

volare steering box clearance

I have been looking at post for clearance problem with volare and big block motors I had thought about going rack n pinion found a company that makes a kit although it runs 600.00 but when you look at cost of custom headers it may be worth it I will probably get a rack and make my own kit Maybe this will help some of you guys, so far I haven't seen it mentioned ( just a thought Mike

This is not a picture of an install using a volare clip or any other IFS. That's a Toyota PS box conversion, so it must be a beam axle.

Unless you know a LOT about steering geometry, do yourself a favor and buy the conversion kit rather than attempting to make your own R&P steering setup. Doing it wrong (easily messed up) can make for some wacky and possibly dangerous steering. There is a lot of engineering that needs to go into it.

Make sure that whoever does them does the insides as well. Headers and exhaust systems corrode from the inside out.
