Thanks for the write up!!! Just learning and loving it!

Nice write up. I ended up hooking my stock fogs to a toggle switch to use how and when I wanted to.They seem to work better without the headlights on when its really foggy or snowing hard.
True, I like just running the fog lights alone....when its super foggy or snowy out......kinda makes sense!!!

Just did this mod...super easy but I did it just a hair different. I took one scotchlock, and used a sharp knife and cut out the little stopper for the 2nd wire. Then put that scotchlock on the 2 wires, the brown and white with black tracer, pressed it all together and done.

Could someone help me out with this. I've got an 03 and there isn't the white/black strip and I actually have two brown wires. I don't want to hack into each wire trying for a hit or miss, and I couldnt really figure it out with the pic that was posted. I really wanted to do this mod. Thanks

So how do you turn the fogs on with the high beams. Dont you have to grind the switch out so you can pull the fog light switch out in the high beam position?

No, the high beam is controlled by the turn signal lever. The only reason you need to modify the light switch is to have the fogs on with the running lights. The wire mod lets you run them with highs.

Just curious if you ever found out which wires to jump on your 03? My 02 has the same look to it as well when I went to try and do this.
