i am wanting to upgrade my offroad lights in the front. i want somthing bright but i dont wana pay $300 a light. any body know or have experience with lights? i operate locomotives every day and i can get some of those lights which are super bright, but they are 200w at 30volts. so how can i get those to work without blowing up my alternator? any input will be appreciated, thanks.

Back "in the day" I used to run aircraft landing lights. Very bright and they were 12V. Have no idea of the bulb number now though. I might actually still have them, I'll look.

Here they are behind the grille of my Monte Carlo. I know, I know, I was young and stupid ...... driving Chebbies!

i would get some regular off road lights, rig them with some 100W bulbs and wire them up with a relay and all that good stuff. walmart has some pretty decent looking HELLA 6" off road lights for like $60 a pair.

i did it to my reverse lights. bought them for $15 at oreillys. just be sure you wire them up with a relay or you WILL burn up your switch.
