What body trimshould I have?

1970 Ranger XLT looks like it used to have beltline trim down the bump side area. When I purchased the truck...all trim was removed and truck is in primer. It has the Ranger XLT emblem still on glovebox door, wood grain and black door panels still present, wood grain on dash area. Trying to go back stock on what it would/should have had as far as trim on the Ranger XLT. Have a few questions on what the exterior would have came with or options......

.1) Would it have been the wide style or the narrow style belt line trim down the bump? We’re both sizes offered?

2) Would it have had wood grain accents?

3) Would it have had rocker mouldings?

4) I’ve seen XLT on the rear bed corners in red, white, blue letters.....is this for my year truck? Or What should it be?

5) What tailgate center panel? Regular or woodgrain?

Thanks,
agouge

Welcome to FTE

Post the VIN and all the codes stamped on the Warranty Plate, riveted to the left door face below the latch, or post a pic of it.

3 5/8" wide upper bodyside mouldings: 1970/72 Ranger & Ranger XLT .. Ranger has black painted inserts, Ranger XLT has walnut wood grained inserts (decals).

Wood grained tailgate finish panel is not reproduced, none are available NOS .. FTE member gangstakr has two, one is restored, the other is used with faded wood grain.

Dennis Carpenter in Concord NC reproduced the Ranger XLT mouldings at one time, you'll have to look in his 1967/79 truck repro parts catalog (available online) to see if he still has any.
