So its starting to get pretty cold here in Ontario, so i want to switch to a lighter oil. I have always used Mobil 1 so i figured i would pick up some Mobil 1 turbo diesel 5w-40.... but i cannot find mobil 1 turbo diesel anywhere? Where do you ontarians get your oil? Or what other type of oil should i be looking for?

If you've got a Wal-Mart near you, you should be in luck. At least, they carry it around here. $22/ gallon.

 

Walmart in certain areas like where I live don't carry Mobil 1 for diesels, but Pep boys does.

TSC Country Stores. Synthetic 5w 30 for $22 a gallon.

 

Only place around here that has it is advance auto, and its only by the quart to the tune of $7.99 each. Walmart does not have it in my area.

I am in newmarket ontario. I have checked several wall marts and none of them carry it.

I was also afraid that it would only come in 1L bottles which sucks...Maby ill go for something else...

 

Cant go wrong with 5-40 Rotella, and its readily available at wal-mart for $19.50 a gallon.

This is also a real cheap place to buy filters, etc.....

 

Canadian tire carries rotella full synthetic 5w-40.Mobil delvac 5w-40 synthetic might have to be found at any large truck shop ie: Peterbilt,kenworth,freightliner it will be cheaper there also because it can be bought in 5 gallon pails.Good luck

 

But is that CTC Rotella rated for the 6.0?

Check the label of the actual bottle you buy.. I have been burned by CTC before.

I know they carry a lot of bulk 5 gallon buckets.. including of Rotella

The stores near me carry Valvoline Supreme Synthetic ... 5w 40.. cheap.. $22

 

If you can afford it.................do what I did...call a local distributor and get a 55 gal. drum. You'll spend extra money for a pump, but you will be saving $ every oil change you do and won't have to worry about locating it at the local stores.
